About
100 PROOF BAYOU ROCK
100% Bayou Rock
Dash Rip Rock is one of the most exciting, entertaining and energetic bands touring the world these days. They have been in business since 1984 and show no sign of slowing down. In their checkered history, Dash has shared the stage with Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, The Cramps, David Alan Coe, The Ramones, Lou Reed, No Doubt and Los Lobos, among others. They have released 14 CDs and tour consistently in the US and Europe.
In 2008, Dash began a new era with it’s recording “Country Girlfriend.” Produced by Tom Drummond of Better Than Ezra – the new CD features fresh songwriting and typical hard-driving DRR bayou rock. Yeah, it's a serious stab at mainstream country - but don't worry, DRR hasn’t turned their back on their legendary reputation as a reliably wild and cutting edge rock band. Like their heroes, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis, Dash is ready to move from their infamous wild man history into a well-earned southern rock pantheon status. Just go see them live and you'll understand. They are truly one of the greatest country rock bands touring today.
