Darren Michaels lives in the Atlanta area. He is an honor graduate from Atlanta Institute of Music and has studied under many powerhouse bassists including Adam Nitti, Anthony Wellington, Gary Wilkins, Steve Bailey, Victor Wooten, and Michael Manring. From time to time, you'll see Darren holding down the bottom with a band, but his true love is solo bass as attested by his three albums: Green (2002), Equilibrium (2004), and Cumulo (2008).
