Danny has performed all over New York City, including venues such as Jazz Standard, Birdland, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Swing 46, Merkin Hall, Le Poisson Rougue, and the 2006 IAJE Conference. In the summer of 2008 Danny traveled with Bobby Sanabria to Verona, Italy to perform in the Verona Jazz festival. In April of 2008 Danny was commissioned by Bobby Sanabria to transcribe two masterworks made famous by Machito and his Afro Cubans for a 50th anniversary concert of Kenya put on by the Manhattan School of Music. The CD, Kenya Revisited: 50th Anniversary Concert, has been released by the Jazzheads label, and has been nominated for a 2009 Latin Grammy. Danny has also received awards from Downbeat and ASCAP.
