Bio
A taste for the dark but beautiful. A voice that wil not leave indifferent, striking and penetrating the pores. This deep and haunting chemistry created by the lyrics to the melodies, mixed and fixed in melancholia bears each song with it's own life and identity that will echo in the listeners ear. CyLeW's music is a window into emotions, a passage through the grim an ugly, the sad but attractive.

Never let anyone tell you that you can't. The only reason why they say that is because someone told them the same thing and they listened. Keep Pushing! Wishing you a Impressive & Progressive 2012 : ) http://facebo...

“Cylew self-released her debut album "Not So Sleeping, Not So Beauty" in 2008 with the help of producer Arnaud Bascunana, guitar player Mathieu Zub and drummer Nicolas T. She is a French singer-songwriter who grew up in California up to the age of 14 when she followed her mother back to Paris, France after the 1994 Northridge earthquake. It is at that time that she started a great interest in rock music and the Cranberries being a trigger to her urge of songwriting. Her influences spread from Tori Amos and PJ Harvey's raw poetical forces to Placebo's, Radiohead's, Portishead's experimentations. Her debut album is filled with easy to listen songs yet they deal with deep emotional journeys that anyone could relate to. Her versatile voice switching from angelic to anger-stricken reflects the panel of the emotional songwriting and interpretation she is comfortable with”
