BACKGROUND

Based in Amityville NY, Craving Strange was formed in 2008 and consists of 4 musicians, combining personal and musical backgrounds in metal, pop, rock, indie, and alternative to create a new yet familiar sound.

The music is intense and emotional, transcending age groups and musical tastes. The songs are filled with instant hooks, catchy choruses, and driving rhythms, without sacrificing heart or resorting to tired clichés. Their live shows have captivated a variety of different audiences throughout the east coast, earning the band a reputation as a must see attraction. This has generated a growing legion of dedicated fans (the Strangers) that scream, shout, cry, and sing along turning every show into a memorable and exciting experience.

For only being together a short time the band has put together and impressively diverse yet cohesive and intense set of songs exploding with amazing musicianship, well written hook heavy songs, and have already developed a unique style and sound that has immediately set them in a class by themselves. Craving Strange live is a can’t take your eyes off them roller-coaster like experience as the band takes you from highs to lows 0-60 and back again all while infecting you with the good time they’re having on stage just being a kick ass rock band. Already packing the areas best live venues and hitting the road the band is definitely a must see.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Within three months, the band was filling clubs and watching their fan base triple. Presented with an opportunity to hit the road with Long Island Favorites “Bhive” for a tour of the Midwest the band pooled their resources, recorded, produced, and released their self-titled EP in time for the trip. With the EP as a giveaway and over 300 T-shirts sold Craving Strange was an instant hit generating new fans all over the Midwest. This success earned the band an invitation to the 2008 Unsigned Band Festival, where they were unanimously voted the favorites by a panel of judges including, Mistress Julia from Fuse, Jessie Snyder from Mtv’s Rock the Cradle, and Andrew WK.

Craving Strange is busy performing throughout the NY, NJ, PA areas and is currently in the studio finishing their first full length album for a February release while scheduling a national tour for spring/summer2008.
