Bio
Back up to 1997 to find Coz 1/3 of the band "Currently BLEU" which he formed with friends Andrew Bochanski & Tom Lowes. The trio of piano/bass/drums played their one and only show at Loserpalooza 3 held at Swarthmore College in 1997 (or 1998?). The band broke up about a month later.
In 1999, Coz went on to write solo and recorded a full-length album at the tender age of 19 entitled "To whom it may concern..." featuring his late friend, John Newman, on bass & acoustic guitar. Nick Rotundo filled in as drummer for most of the songs except "Until I Find Love" which featured Coz's late father, Bob Baldwin on drums.
Following the completion of that album, only “The Shroud” and “The Ghosts That Haunt Me” have been written.
About
Being the singer of Circuit Theory is not always what Coz Baldwin has done. Back up about 10 years to find him 1/3 of the band "Currently BLEU" which he formed with friends Andrew Bochanski & Tom Lowes. Songs were written and the trio of piano/bass/drums played their one and only show at Loserpalooza 3 held at Swarthmore College in 1997 (or possibly 1998). The band broke up about a month later.
in 1999, Coz went on to write without a band and recorded a full-length album at the tender age of 19 entitled "To whom it may concern..." featuring his late friend, John Newman, on bass & acoustic guitar. Nick Rotundo (engineer and owner of the studio) filled in as drummer for most of the songs, except "Until I Find Love" which featured Coz's late father, Bob Baldwin, on drums.
Following the completion of that album, the writing came to a halt and only a few songs were written over the next few years. They are "The Shroud" and "The Ghosts That Haunt Me". At some point around 2002, Coz heard the White Stripes covering Dolly Parton's classic "Jolene" and he immediately went to learn the chords so he could experience the same magic The White Stripes captured in that song.
After 7 years, Coz is putting all the music exclusively on ReverbNation, all available for free downloads. Here you'll find the entire album of "To whom it may concern..." plus the 3 more recent songs, and bonus recordings of him at various karaoke bars -- which he used mainly to begin the process of shaping and strengthening his voice & stage presence so he could pursue his true passion: to be the singer of a hard rock band which was a dream induced and solidified primarily after his discovery of the prog-metal group Tool.
UPDATE 12/9/07:
Coz has transferred old Currently BLEU music to digital format and has made it available for your listening pleasure for the first time ever!
Unfortunately, ReverbNation only allows an 8mb max on all songs and truncate tracks which are larger in size. Apologies for those songs which have abrupt, cut-off endings.
