COSTANZA FRANCAVILLA :
She released her solo debut Ep "ZerOKilled"ep that includes "I've been waiting for you" and "Burqa" used by C.S.I and the "L World" and entirely produced by her .
Costanza begun her music journey at early age studying classical guitar at the Music Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome:
...by her late teens she was an accomplished musician fronting a indie rock band in Italy (Etnia) and spending lots of time immersed in the alternative music scene...
In the late 90�s she moved to London to study Architecture and was heavily exposed to the underground electronica : she started working on a solo project, self-producing her own songs on a 4 tracks tape recorder with the help of a drum machine and minimal approach to synthesizers .
In December 2001, Costanza read that Tricky was to perform in Rome. She went to the show and managed to get a CD of her demos to Tricky's drummer. Tricky heard the demos the next day and within moments of his plane touching down in Los Angeles he was on the phone with Costanza asking her to play the role that once belonged to longtime vocalist and artistic collaborator MARTINA TOPLEY-BIRD.
In fall 2002 a limited 2 Cd's-edition of Tricky's BLOWBACK album came out featuring Costanza song MY HEAD... a year later her song DESIRE was released in the electronica compilation BACK TO MINE (Tricky) .
In 2003, Costanza performed live on Tricky's "13" tour all around Europe, appearing nearly all the major festivals such as GLASTONBURY, LONDON MELTDOWN FESTIVAL, T IN THE PARK , Doctor Music Festival ( Spain) -Vilar de Meuros (Portugal) - EXIT (Serbia) - Eurockennes(France) - Witness Festival (Irland) ...
After the tour she signed to Tricky�s new Brown Punk label, but shortly thereafter she decided to be fully independent again and to continue to work as she had before : the results are embodied in "Zerokilled," a 5 songs EP written, performed & recorded in her home studio in Rome.

These days, Costanza is based in Brooklyn, New York where she found her label and multimedia lab production "ZerOKilled Music" studio:
she alternates her music production and scoring for Films and Tv ( (she recentley scored the CADILLAC TV commercial ) with different forms of multimedia art.
ABOUT SONIC DIARY - out JULY 2008
Multimedia vocalist/composer COSTANZA will unveil her first full length album June 17th 2008. The album, entitled Sonic Diary, will feature brand new, never heard before compositions, surprising cover tracks from Johnny Cash, Fugazi and Italian superstar Rino Gaetano, as well as an assortment of previously unreleased tracks and fan favorites from the her 2006 EP, ZerOKilled.
Recorded and produced exclusively by COSTANZA at her “ZerOKilled Lab” in DUMBO, Brooklyn, the album plays like a modern day mixtape. Each song stands alone as a potential single or as an atmospheric track ideal for use in TV, film or commercial. Included are hit songs that have appeared on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and The L Word.
Also included are knockout reinterpretations of Johnny Cash and Fugazi. “these songs are emotional pages of my sonic diary…” she says “ inspired by special creatures and people, like Cash and Ian Mac Kaye , that make me dream and believe in dreams …” COSTANZA burst onto the scene in 2003 as the featured vocalist on superstar Tricky’s album Vunerable.
On Sonic Diary COSTANZA writes songs that tackle a variety of international societal issues that weigh heavily on her mind from immigration (Just Another Alien), to women’s rights (Burqa, Back Into My Mother’s Womb), to the use/abuse of medicine (Medicine) and, on a more local level, a song dedicated to Sean Bell, the young man shot to death in Queens, NY by police officers in late 2006 (50 Bullets). A special bonus track on the CD, “Coming Home,” is an epic 14 minute piece that takes the listener on a journey unlike any other on the album. “Coming Home” illustrates COSTANZA ’s ability to score large sections of visual space and marks a departure from her usual composition style. The track also features a guest turn by Elyas Khan (Nervous Cabaret.) Sonic Diary marks the first of three scheduled releases for COSTANZA in 2008.
in Fall 2008 will see an EP of minimal techno/electro songs with frequent collaborator (and co-instrumentalist on “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”) Marco Messina under the alterego B_CO.ME.
IN 2009 COSTANZA will unveil her first full length album of all new material, Make Me Electric. An integral part of her live performance is the use of visual projections and images photographed by Costanza herself made together with embrio.net (an italian artists duo with whom Costanza have been working together for years) and visual artist Peter Mettler.
