Bio

Corporate Nemesis is a collective consisting of Fairo (real name Mokhethi Rampeta) and Biz-ark-human/Core Wreckah (real name Ts'eliso Monaheng) based in the small town of Maseru, Lesotho. The Nemesis concept's rough draft came to life in 2001 in the form of a rap outfit consisting of eight members.

The primary objective was emceeing, but this has since blossomed into sound design (radio jingles, beats, recording), design (logos, websites - courtesy of Bonzy, another affiliate), and video production. To date, on the visuals side, the collective has produced one documentary - The Cipha - which takes a look at the Lesotho cipha scene, and two music videos, one which is on rotation on Channel 0, Afrika's biggest video music channel. The said video is for a Lesotho-based electronic music artist by the name of Vortech 0.9. On the sound design side, Corporate Nemesis has made its
presence felt on all major radio stations in Lesotho by doing jingles for a good number of deejays, and helped a host of rappers record their material.

The downsizing from eight members down to two might seem like a flop to some, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise to help the duo plot their path. They maintain a deeply independent
hip-hop background while concurrently taking on challenges in other fields. For instance, Fairo is an Architecture student, and has contributed his skills to designing a couple of buildings in
Maseru. The ultimate goal is to create a bridge between Lesotho and the rest of the world, and hence facilitate long-lasting relationships and collaborations with cross-genre musicians and
designers all over. This dream is already being realised.

For instance, Fairo is an Architecture student, and has contributed his skills to designing a couple of buildings in Maseru. The ultimate goal is to create a bridge between Lesotho and the rest of the world, and hence facilitate positive collaborations with cross-genre musicians and designers all over. This dream is already being realised. Currently based in Cape Town, Biz-ark-human has already forged links with a number of notables on the mother city scene. His interactions with, amongst others, Dplanet (producer and owner of Pioneer Unit - check www.pioneerunit.com),
Ill-Skillz (a rap duo making serious moves - check www.myspace.com/illliterateskill), and DJ Eazy and Ahzul (super deejays
who also host the G.H.E.T.T.O P.I.M.P show on UCT radio) will hopefully result in a whole lot more than just talking.

Future projects include a clothing label (Nemesis Republik), a fully-fledged website, and maybe another documentary. In-between, they shall be contributing tracks to anyone who needs to collaborate.
