Since its onset in mid 2006, The Still City's been tugging the emotions of listeners with dynamic songwriting, thoughtful lyrics and intense live performances. Originally influenced by bands like Bright Eyes and Spoon, the band has matured with their own sound of scattered melodies, driving rhythms and ethereal keyboards. With the release of the locally acclaimed “Light and the Machines,” The Still City has earned a Westword nomination for Denver’s Best Indie Rock Band as well as a spot on Denver Post's Underground Music Showcase 2009. This summer finds The Still City expanding with national touring, a video release for their song “You’ve Got Your Hands” and working on their first full length album to be released later this year.
