Con a.k.a Consequence was raised in London, Ontario, Canada, by his mother; his father spent much of his son's childhood behind bars. Like many young men amid the poverty and ruin of his community, he found solace through ghetto poetry and the work of rappers like Tupac Shakur and the Wu-Tang Clan. He dropped out of high school at the age of 15, finding the structured environment a hindrance to his developing talent for rhyming. After appearing on numerous local mixtapes, Con, along with childhood friends Sean Frost and Chris Suites, formed a crew called H-Block in 2003, a group that proceeded to redefine the term "street marketing" with a series of self-released singles that included original numbers and quality artwork. Con then joined a local group named Penetraitor Inc, due to legal issues Con never had a chance to release anything with the group. Apon his release Con started his own independeant label, Strictly Business Productions in 2004. Con has since then worked with several artists and joined forces with Londons very own B.I.G Records.
