Colin Close are an alternative folk duo from Liverpool comprised of Rob Hamer and Jan Staunton. They are best known for their distinctive blend of delicate guitar work and subtle vocal melodies, and have produced songs which vary greatly in both subject matter and meaning.

In summer 02006, the band recorded its first set of demos which eventually culminated in the 02007 release, Colin Close EP - a  collection of songs published as an example of what their friends and families could expect to hear on its successor; a currently in development full-length LP expecting a late 02008 release.

The duo write, produce, mix and master all of their own material, all of which is done from within the comfort of Jan's bedroom.

Colin Close were signed to Fruit Soup in 02007.
