“Local Philly band Clutch Cargo got their start in 1999, formed by multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter, filmmaker and music archivist George Manney. Manney has long been a supporter of and has played in the Philly music scene having worked with Robert Hazard, Beru Revue and many other bands. In 1986 George started The Last Minute Jam @ J.C. Dobbs, a weekly institution on Tuesday nights, and the longest running Rock-Jam session in the history of the Philly music scene. in fact, you may have seen him recently playing drums with Tommy Stinson when he was in town. Here’s a few songs from Clutch Cargo, that fit squarely in to the ambient/electronica world of music, including two new songs, “”In The Park,” and “Bicycle Detour,” and “Within Without” from their 2002 release.”
