Folks have said I am similar to or remind them of Loreena McKennitt, Kate Bush, Toria Amos, Bjork, Eartha Kitt, Nina Simone, Mary O'Hara, Moya Brennan and Enya, depending on the mood of the song and the insturment I am playing.

I accompany my songs with antique Erard peddle concert harps from 1820 and 1850, a traditional Irish harp and grand piano.

I learned the piano and harp during my teens when I also wrote many songs. I did not turn professional until my mid thirties out of desperation for an income and found this through providing music and songs for weddings. This was very successful work for me.

Twenty years later I am now a concert performer singing my own songs, my interpretations of poems of Irish poets set to music and some Irish favourites.
I perform two overseas tours a year outside of ireland, usually to North America, Australia or around Europe and within my Ireland home from time to time.

I usually perform solo and prefer small intimate venues that do not require PA such as house concerts, chapels, country house drawing rooms, heritage buildings, small theatres and meditation sanctuaries.

However, the songs on my upcoming album are being recorded with other musicians and we are talking of creating a show with a band of other musicians that may be better suited for larger theatres complete with colourful settings, dancers a poet or two and maybe folk drama style performers. We may test the waters with a small show on a small tour during 2009.

I am performing dates in Australia with a choir and other musicians for a special CD release there in September and October this year so that will provide ideas of what we can do.
