Q: Man that gritty tone on the sldie solos in the song Halelujah Man is killer. Do you mind sharing how you got that sound?
A: Hey Thanks! I used my 1974 Blue Sparkle Les Paul Deluxe, with full size '57 Classic Humbuckers. Tuned to open D, capo on second fret. Not sure which amp...It might have been my Frugal Amp 18 watt clone or my Ceriatone 18 watt clone, or it also might have been a Vox AC4... I was using a treble booster, a "Build Your Own Clone" Tri-Boost pedal on the Germanium Setting. Thanks for the question!
