Christmas Concert with Chris Pick and Mariah Hostrander at Avenue Coffee "Four years ago I did a Christmas concert at Avenue Coffee in Lock Haven the night before Christmas Eve. Wasn't expecting many people to show, but many did. One lady who came was having a hard year. I gave a message of hope that night in the music and stories I shared, and she told me at the end of the night how much she really needed to hear what I shared that evening. She asked me to do it again the next Christmas, and I've been keeping this tradition alive! Last year, I invited my good friend and fellow songwriter/storyteller Mariah Hostrander to join me and once again she will be joining me next Friday as we do it again! It's the last day of exams of LHU, so join us for a night of great food & drinks, good music, and messages of love and hope for the Christmas season!" -CP About the artists: Chris Pick is a missionary, singer/songwriter, and a music teacher in the Williamsport area. Pick first came on the music scene in 2000 with a tribute song to John Lennon entitled “Thank You For The Music” – a song which premiered in the Holy City of Jerusalem and went #1 on the KAOS FM charts in Australia. His music has charted in both the mainstream and the Christian music genres. His recent project “Tragedies & Miracles” features members of Rich Mullins’ Ragamuffin Band and is available on iTunes – several songs from the project were featured locally on Christian radio WGRC. He has worked with and shared the stage with a wide range of artists from Rick Elias to Mark Harris of 4Him. His recent single “Finally Free” (backed by The Monkeephiles) pays tribute to the late frontman of The Monkees, Davy Jones, whom Pick has worked with in the past; and it is a free download at http://www.chrispick.bandcamp.com/ Pick performed at Davy’s memorial in 2013 and 2014 His Christmas EP "Christmas In The World" is a free download at his bandcamp page. As a missionary, Pick is an advocate for the native missionary movement (partnering with Gospel For Asia and Rehoboth Ministries India) and the persecuted church (partnering with Voice of the Martyrs). He has been involved with several mission projects which have included work in Asia, Africa, South America, and North America (on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota). Free mission books and DVDs will be available at the event as well as copies of Gospel For Asia's Christmas Catalog http://www.gfa.org/gift. Mariah Hostrander began her singing/songwriting career in 2006 at the age of 13. With influences from BarlowGirl to Paul Baloche, Mariah has captured the muse to deliver a compelling folk-rock sound with well-crafted lyrics that tell life stories easy for most people to appreciate. Mariah Hostrander's first full-length project, "Beautiful Scars" was released in 2008, followed by a Christmas single "The Angels Sing" in 2009. Fast forward to 2011 and "Picture It," impeccably expands her discography with her first national release with Tate Music Group. Most important to Mariah, "Ultimately, I want to glorify God with the gift He's given me and I want to reach and inspire people." As well, recently Mariah has teamed up with the Principled Warrior Foundation. To show her support she wrote a song titled "I'm Alive" and will be donating 50% of the proceeds to the foundation. This foundation is being established to provide support to our servicemen and servicewomen and their families with PTSD and brain injuries. For more info, visit http://www.mariahhostrander.com/

John Roginski met Paul Venturi in 2006 when he was singing "Hold On Girl" under his breath. All of a sudden, he heard someone harmonizing. Shortly thereafter, what was then known as the "Mr. Webster and Mr. Frisbee" project was born. In 2008, John and Paul were at a Micky Dolenz show answering his questions from the front row. He called us "Monkeephiles" and it stuck. They released a CD project in 2013 and performed at the 2013 Davy Jones Beavertown Memorial and the 2014 Monkees convention. The Monkeephiles will also be performing at the upcoming Davy Jones Beavertown Memorial on June 28th
