Chris has spent several years crafting his voice in the Portland, Oregon music scene, and lately has been gathering a cast of collaborators to flesh out the spirit of his sound and songs.Leading up to the release of his debut full-length album (the In Music We Trust Records-released "August Light"), Chris appeared onstage with notable national acts like Tift Merritt, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Bill Mallonee, and Richmond Fontaine. During that same stretch, Chris began headlining shows of his own at landmark Portland venues like the Doug Fir Lounge and Mississippi Studios. Performing steadily both locally and nationally since 2008, Chris has honed a live performance noted for its musicality and tenderness by both The Oregonian and The Portland Monthly, the latter calling him "a sweet-voiced local country boy with some righteous gospel in his blood. The August Light combines the lyrical palette of Chris' songs, marked intuitively by folk and country undertones, with a magnetic blend of postmodern, American rock and roll. The band released its debut EP, "Waltz", in 2012, a four-song collection that builds significantly on Chris' solo output with material honed in the live setting, and primarily recorded live at Type Foundry Studios in Portland. Website:http://www.chrismarshallmusic.com/About Eric John KaiserSince 2006, when French native, Eric John Kaiser, has moved from Paris to Portland (Oregon) he has logged every year close to 10,000 miles via air, land and sea. Exploring North America on multiple lengthy tours, he has gigged his way up through Canada and down through the South, as far as New Orleans and Washington D.C., where he performed as an "Artist in Residence" for the Smithsonian Museum. Sometimes driving his trusty Subaru under the wide Montana sky, sometimes riding the subway under the New York City canyons... Then jetting across the Atlantic to tour through France... His music has logged as many miles and picked up accents from across the American landscape: his latest songs resonate now with a very American rhythm, like bouncing across the vast plains on horseback...some western lap steel guitar... some dirty roadhouse blues..."website:http://www.ericjohnkaiser.commyspace:http://www.myspace.com/ericjohnkaiserAbout Peter Pants Local legends Turtle VanDemarr (Dan Hicks, Jim Kweskin Jug Band), David Reisch (Holy Modal Rounders, Michael Hurley), Jon Koonce (Johnny & The Distractions) and Dan Haley (Ed & The Boats), are joined by newcomer to the Portland music scene, Jazzy Lee VanDemarr. Turtle (lead guitar-vocals) and David (bass-vocals) have played music together in different configurations in Portland for over 40 years. For the past 14 years these two respected and sought after Portland music veterans have been band mates with the wildly popular local band - The Freak Mountain Ramblers. Jon Koonce is a NW original who started out playing drums for the Sleazy Pieces. The singer songwriter took up the guitar in the 80's to form the legendary Johnny & The Distractions. Jon is back on the drums once again with the Peter Pants Band. Dan Haley has been a fixture of the Portland East Side Sound since the 80's. His mandolin playing, quirky personality and singing style are mesmerizing. Jazzy has studied and been involved in musical theater, performing on stage for the past 15 years. She has also received vocal instructions through the years from two of Portland's favorite chanteuses, Mary Kadderly & Becky Kilgore. Jazzy's singing style is a little bit sassy with a lot of strong jazz influence. This band is "too much fun," covering everything from Johnny & June to Ella & Louis, to Doris Day - with added hilarious stage banter. They are the foremost proponents of a new music genre - HILLBILLY JAZZ. About The GravyBette Midler & Louis C.K. meet The Wood Brothers! The Gravy is a delicious stew of Americana genres concocted in the musical kitchen of Leah Hinchcliff and Andrew Maldarelli. They call the mixture...Funky Blue Soul Grass. As a duo Andrew and Leah bring years of experience to The Gravy menu. The duo's repertoire consists of beautifully crafted original songs with thoughtfully chosen covers to create a perfect show for most occasions and all tastes.Since coming on the scene in 2008, Gravy has been delighting audiences throughout the Northwest with their rootsy yet innovative sound. Their mutual love for acoustic music with a soulful twist led the two friends to form The Gravy. Leah Hinchcliff is a charming entertainer and fiery, passionate performer. Her bass playing has been honed as a touring bassist for blues and funk bands while her gleeful command of "the doghouse" (aka upright bass) is a formidable pilar of The Gravy's soulful foundation. Leah also contributes intricate harmonies and warm lead vocals to the taste of The Gravy. Andrew Maldarelli began his performing career in musical theatre and Manhattan Transfer-style singing groups. He entertains audiences with his quick wit and charisma, while laying down rich and confident vintage guitar tones. Andrew's voice, mellifluous and fluid, evokes the warmth of James Taylor while maintaining the soul of Marvin Gaye. As a band the act can add The Good Doctor Nancy Breaux on washboard and/or Jay Machamer on congas when they want to kick it up a notch.Either way, everything is better with The Gravy!Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gravy/140006592713154Map & Directions

Website:http://www.chrismarshallmusic.com/About Freak Mountain RamblersPortland's own Freak Mountain Ramblers bring a rollicking brand of rock 'n' roll, bluegrass, alternative country and country-blues to every show they play. With a lineup including three members of the inimitable and notorious Holy Modal Rounders / Clamtones amalgamation of the '70s and '80s, Freak Mountain Ramblers has its roots in the underbelly of the alternative music scene that existed at that time, both in Portland and across the country. The Freaks have accumulated a loyal following in the Portland area by dependably creating beauty and bedlam at their live shows, and by producing CDs that successfully translate that energy and excitement to disc. Four lead singer/songwriters, each with a distinct character and approach to life and music, provide a dynamic show that packs the rooms with some of the most interesting music fans around. The Freak Mountain Ramblers are veteran performers packing decades of experience. FMR members have been core musicians of the Holy Modal Rounders, Golden Delicious, the Clamtones, Richard Cranium and the Phoreheads, Prairie Dogs, Swingline Cubs, The Trail Band, and The Fly By Night Jass Band. "... Freak Mountain Ramblers aren't your typical country western band. Not only have they chucked the slick yippie-ki-yay good looks of contemporary C&W singers for the haggard couture of mountain men, their lyrics have bizarrely warped the genre's storytelling. One song starts as a fable about two fighting neighbors and picks up speed until they have doused each other with gasoline. Strangely addictive and disturbingly fun, the song is sung in sweet tones and set to a galloping swing." - Portland Mercurywebsite:http://www.freakmountain.com/Map & Directions
