Country-fried acoustic blues sans grass, extra hot sauce Chris Clarke and Dane Terry have played together for the past several years in other ensembles and situations, and this new Country-Blues project finds them excited to be working together again. They perform songs from pre-war Blues, Old Time, Folk music and even some contemporary artists like Tom Waits, and of course Chris Clarke's finely crafted Original music. As a musical duo, the pair is calmly intense, soulful, and yet always in touch with their deep traditional roots, and they always add their own personal flavor. Their arrangements range from dark and moody to sparse, beautiful, sensitive, and haunting, from joyful to quirky and even a bit offbeat. Roots music is what the duo plays; it's all about the Roots. Nominated for Best Blues Album, 2010 by the San Diego Music Foundation as part of the band Zapf Dingbats
