Chenyelu Bomani (Chin-yay-loo Bo-mah-nee)
My constant interest has been with percussion instruments. Early music exposures were to the blues; jazz and transitioning to rock 'n roll; funk.
Back in the day...Poetically, the street scene was my main stage. Performing at parks, festivals, street corners, etc. Later, I would do sets in Detroit at "Rappa House" and at the "Moon Glow Lounge".
Now, I have returned to my two original loves of poetry and music. I am busy resurrecting myself... writing poetry and stories, creating and arranging music. And I must say musically, that I have some sound bytes for your ears. So keep 'em open because they're coming at ya!

Chenyelu is an accomplished Spoken Word Artist that has been around since the late '60s but the time has come for fans to become familiar with the musical side of Chenyelu. Chenyelu has a musical background that began as a child with various percussion instruments and he quickly discovered that he had an "ear" for music. Influenced by numerous old school Blues legends and the modern soulful sounds of R&B he will often temper his music with Jazz and Latin rhythms. Chenyelu produces a unique sound that has a wide appeal. Chenyelu ventures out into many cultural avenues to bring a global sound to the listener's table and is designed to fill the inquisitive and hungry ear for music that is different!
