“I remember the exact date I first heard and added "God Is In Control". January 20, 2009.
The date was Inauguration Day, and President Barack Obama was taking the Oath of Presidency.I was worried sick that day. In the midst of this mental turmoil, I first listened to Chelley. Firstly, the message immediately hit me, right where I needed it. Secondly, it sounded honest and good. Was it Country'? Probably not. But it was REAL, and it spoke at a time when that message needed to be heard. God was, and is, still on His Throne, and He is certainly not surprised by anything.The impact, for me, was great, so I called (something program directors don't normally do) Chelley simply to thank her for her song, and to let her know how God used it to minister to me. Chelley's album has a little bit of something for everyone. But, most importantly, it has a lot about God, and a lot of God-given talent (get Chelley to sing over the phone to you). Take a listen for yourself. God is speaking.
