After winning her first ever open poetry slam at the world famous Nuyorican Poet’s Café, Charlotte Mishell has been catching the ears and hearts of audiences in New York City, featuring at several venues such as Bowery Poetry Club, Madame X, Urban Juke Joint, Hairitage Lounge, Bogart’s, 40/C Hacienda, Solomon’s Porch, as well as the Rush Philanthropic Corridor for Danny Simmons.

Often nicknamed "Black Widow," Charlotte Mishell specializes in transforming her heartaches and tears into iodine ink that sinks in deep to cleanse and heal wounds. Doubling as a middle school teacher by day and poet by night, Charlotte has just completed her debut CD entitled Love, Charlotte.
