It's been a great season of touring, spending some time living and working back in the Ozarks, meeting new friends and playing music with very talented players from this area. The time has come to hit the road back to California for more shows and work in San Francisco. Before I skip town I'm playing one last show with a full band at Blackhorse Pub in Hollister MO. This'll be your last chance to catch The Brian Travis Band in the Ozarks this year. Come out to celebrate a successful season of live BTB music I'd love to get the opportunity to say farewell, so please come on out to Blackhorse this Friday night!

“The Coyote & The Crow by The Brian Travis Band is a good mix of country and rock. Even thought I’m really not the biggest fan of country music (actually not a country fan at all), They manage to bring something special to their music that makes it worth listening to. Their music isn’t just simple country, but also a bit rock-ish, which is what makes it quite fun to listen to. I would recommend them to everyone who likes country music (even just a little bit), but also to those who don’t. Give the band a listen, just do, because you will probably like it. It’s not really the kind of country music that you might thinking about, it’s really much much better. The songs and the sound of the band give the music its own unique personality and that’s what makes their music so special.”

Q: Brian, Who is the Coyote & who is the Crow? Your friend, Ti Thompson
A: Thanks for the question Ti. Early one morning I was catching a bus and across the street I saw a scruffy looking coyote dodging dive bombs from an angry crow. I thought, "the coyote & the crow" sounded like a great name for a band or an album. Coyotes and crows both represent a "trickster" or "deceptive mischief" in Native American culture. Once you hear the album you will understand why I chose these two totem animal spirits to represent the album.
