Q: Miss Fortune? Why such a happy song about a crazy, lying whore? Is it supposed to be ironic?
A: Great question. Yes, somewhat ironic for sure. I guess sort of a light-hearted twist on a twisted relationship gone bad. Although much of this song is happy and upbeat, there certainly is a dark, dangerous side to it, especially the bridge. This woman was attractive enough to draw the guy in (she was at least fun and certainly attractive), but deceptive and, as you say, a "lying whore." ;-) Hope that helps explain things...
