Lead singer / guitar player Wes Hlebichuk, long time Bellingham, Washington friend and multi-instrumentalist Shawn Thompson, bassist Phil Calvert and drummer Rick Sloot (both originally from Chicago, Ill.) make up indie hard rock band Birch Riley. The band originally formed as a four piece in 2000 with then keyboard player Paul Carrico. The band is excited to announce that time has been booked at one of Seattle's cool analogue / digital studios. We will be working with producer Brian Pake and will be laying basic tracks for a full length CD early in the year.
