Bill Warfield has distinguished himself as a successful musician performing with such diverse artists as Ornette Coleman, Mel Torme, David Sanborn, Lew Soloff, Mel Lewis, Dave Liebman and Sonny Stitt. Bill is also a successful bandleader and composer. He has performed at Birdland, The Blue Note and directs the New York Jazz Repertory Orchestra which is in residence at Lehigh University. Bill is included in the Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz compiled by Ira Gitler and Leonard Feather and the online jazz biographies compiled by Lewis Porter.
