Q: What is the best advice that someone has given you? And how do you apply this advice to your music career today? Sincerely, Your biggest fan

A: The best advice I've probably recieved as a songwriter was from an amazing songwriter named Tim DuBois (famous for writing "Love in the First Degree" by Alabama). I met Mr. DuBois at a songwriter workshop in Austin, Texas where he told me the most valuable piece of songwriting advice. He said ,"the key to making a great song is to make a song that people want to hear again...". So when I write a song I think about that. That means i try to make lyrics relatable, easy to follow, and catchy enough to spark attention. Since I got this advice my songwriting has matured exponentially and changed my music for the better. Thanks for listening!
