This Gig was with Greg and was back several years ago, it was for Gibson Guitars Anniversary and at the legendary Fillmore West before it was purchased by Live Nation, actually before Live Nation existed. Great awesome show !
TODAY, the only place to hear BENin10D play is on www.BENin10D.com, which he would love for you to visit. Not, only would he love for you to visit he may even write a song for You. If you want a personal song written for you let him know about what and see what he comes up with, now of course he will reserve ownership of the song, but you will have your own copy and you can tell all your friends this song was your idea and written for you and who knows it may be one of the ones that gets sold and made into a hit. Now, it won't make you rich or make yo any money, but BOY, will you have a story to tell your friends and Family. Visit the site and let BENin10D know. Thanks for all of your support ! ! PEACE !
Was with Gregg Allman
Music Festival in Columbia,, South Carolina
This was right after (2 days after 9/11) and we produced the Presidents National Day Of Prayer at Oak Mt., now known as Verizon Wireless and as I produced the show the Governor of Alabama had heard of the song I wrote the morning of 9/11 (how I don't know) and asked me to play it next on the program. I freaked, I was in work cloths, not play at a patriotic event clothes and I did not have my guitar on top of that. I remembered I had a change of clothes in my office and it turned out a student, who was there to play with their school band for their honor guard happen to have a guitar there (one that would NOT stay tuned) and right as I got changed and walk up to back stage they announce my name and I walked out down stage, with no sound check, no practice of this brand new song, this was only the second time I had even played the song since I wrote it the morning of 9/11 and I was freaked out then, but GOD took care of me and all went well and as I finished and walked off stage and met my wife, my cell phone rang and it was my cousin from New York and he was yelling in the phone, he said I just saw you on TV singing your song, I told him he was wrong, but he then described what I was wearing and what I sang, I asked him where did he see me and he said CNN, which was really weird, I had checked in all media earlier and it was only the local news networks, no CNN. If you remember for the day of prayer all cities were to do it at the exact same time and Bham had the largest turn out of any other city in America and their "affiliate" ABC, relayed the feed to them and CNN covered the entire event. For 3 years after, no matter where I went, even in other countries, people would ask me if I was the guy who sang the 9/11 song, I just could not believe that many people one, remembered the song and second remembered me, how freakin amazing, God Bless Our Country !
