"Departures" is more than a worthwhile listen. Not only does Kelso have a big, rich voice but she also has something to say as a creative songwriter that incorporates great driving melodies with sylish, imaginative, poetic lyrics. Departures is a well produced gem.

Q: If I may, I have two questions: 1.) When are you coming back to Indiana? :3 and 2.) What's a good way to find folks willing to host house concerts?
A: Hey there! First, no immediate plans to come back to Indiana, BUT the way my tours usually work, that can change quickly! I'd say the best next opportunity will be this fall. I'll keep you posted! Second, when I first began touring many moons ago in my duo "GBmojo", our web of house concert hookups grew very organically. One of the best ways we found to do this was meet as many people as possible! Network, baby! Festivals and cons are great ways to do this. There you can meet like minded music lovers and fellow performers from all over the region or country (or world!). New friendships are great opportunities for house concerts. I know some other folks have found much success using some of the website services that book house concerts. (houseconcerts.com, and the like) I've heard good things about these sites. You benefit from working with pro hosts who typically already have a built in audience, which can be fantastic in a new town or region where you don't know anyone, though sometimes you can get excluded if you're not the genre they sponsor. I've been fortunate enough to come by all of my house concerts through personal connections. Sometimes it's a friend, and sometimes it's more like a friend-of-a-friend, but the personal connection has been vital for us. (Also, if you have a wee network built up on social media/mailing list, consider posting to your followers and see if anyone is interested in hosting an HC.) Thanks for the question!
