BEIGE is a fresh new band with a different sound, unique personalities, attitude and a lot of talent. We have only been together since January 2007, & already performed in numerous gigs, giving our audience something great to talk about. The music we play is a fusion of soul, lounge, funk, R&B with a splash of jazz!
BEIGE is a 5-piece band with diverse musical backgrounds, experience, chemistry and one passion The Love for All Music. On bass Andre's a master of slap bass giving BEIGE a unique groovy edge. On vocals, Claire's voice is powerful, smooth and versatile; on guitar, Eric adds a syncopated beat and flavours BEIGE with unique and distinguishable funky sounds. Geoff on keyboards has a fascinating breadth of styles and introduces continuous creative sounds that complete BEIGE. On drums, Robert's excellent coordinated rhythmic skills and extraordinary young talent will make your head spin!
BEIGE goals are very clear; to entertain audiences with music that we promise conveys a positive message. Our first song “Anything” talks about the materialism that people perceive, they need to own to be confident, happy and be loved. However fancy cars, branded items, types of jobs and houses don't mean “Anything” and happiness is a state of being that is achieved by being and loving oneself and not one's possessions. This song grabbed many people's attention and received excellent feedback. We placed 3rd in the XFM ‘Virtual Rock Star' competition, and only after a week on the station's play list the song achieved ‘X-Track' status, currently number 9 in the TOP 40 XFM chart list, ‘Anything' is also on Bay's play list. Just finished recording our second song called “Say Hey” this will be released in November.
