Danielle Vincent & Ashley Rastad are local small business owners with a passion for the community. Danielle Vincent is the owner of Firefly, a local boutique opened in 2012 and the founder of the Community Outreach Organization, Shoes & Sandwiches founded in 2011. Ashley is a local performer and owner of Moonrise Boutique opened in 2014. We’ve been friends for a long time, first performing together in a self-managed Improv Troupe that performed from Sacramento to LA and then through community outreach with Shoes & Sandwiches. Last year we joined forces again in our entrepreneurial adventures and this year we are excited to unveil Festival Deer Productions. Together, we strive to unite the community through local events and gatherings. This summer, we’ll take on our biggest venture yet: First Festival. The goal of First Festival is to kick off the local festival season by incorporating local artists, crafters, business owners, performers & musicians into a festival that offers all the latest in this seasons festival fashion and accessories. It’s a one stop shop for everyone’s festival needs. The best part? All purchases made at First Festival will be with local, small business and artists. What a better way to collect all the must have festival gear than at an actual festival. All performers featured at First Festival will be carefully selected local musicians and acts. We’re pounding the pavement and hunting down the best local artists that Sacramento has to offer and then we’re going to share them with the community in the loudest way we can-- on stage at our festival with an anticipated 2000+ attendees. So, Follow us to Festival Season this Summer with First Festival!

"Nearly impossible to pigeonhole, this cleverly poignant CD of uber-original songs might be best described as 21st century existential folk rock. The apparent result of what happens when you put a fiercely intelligent, playful, creative, optimistic, vulnerable and honest human life form in a dreary windowless cubicle for 40 hours a week, add a 5-piece folk rock band, and mix with equal parts of angst, love, despair, hope, irony, humor and confusion, this lyrically lush smorgasbord of crazy-smart tone-poetic thought experiments continues to intrigue after many listenings. If you like quirky, unpredictable songs with modern themes that yield surprises with each play, get this." -review of "Be Brave Bold Robot" self titled LP, by by Michael Doughton for RetailRadio.biz
