BASSMENT PRODUCTIONS, originally known as The DJ Brothers, was formed in January 2006. Their music production team consists of two brothers named John and Christian de Jesus, who are both classically trained pianists based in Long Island, New York. They both have had the opportunity of performing in several piano recitals at various venues, such as the Philippine Consulate and one of the world's most famous concert stages in New York City, Carnegie Hall.

JD and Ian have been playing piano for over 10 years now.  Although they're musical foundation is established in the classical arts, in recent years, they have both explored and performed several different types of music, such as jazz, r&b, hip hop, pop, dance, and alternative.  Since they've always enjoyed playing and performing all different genres of music, they figured, why not create their own music.

The idea of becoming a music production team originated in the summer of 2005, during their vacation to the Philippines.  They had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of their aunt's radio station in the province of Legazpi, where they met a music producer, also a well trained pianist, who created music for several different artists and commercials.  They were so impressed with the  numerous sounds that could be produced from a synthesizer that they had to go out and get one for themselves when they returned to the U.S.  And that's where it all started with creating their own studio.

The equipment they use consists of a Yamaha Motif ES 8, MBox2, iMac- Mac OSX, Logic Pro, and ProTools 8.  As they produce their own music, they welcome a variety of services and projects, such as music and voice recording , music mixing for dance groups, and background music for visual projects.  We are always looking forward to exposing our music, meeting new artists, and working with different groups of people.

John (JD) - graduated from St. John's University in 2007 with a degree in Finance and is currently working for the Northshore LIJ Health System as a Financial Analyst.  He also plays piano for their local church at First Baptist Church of Hicksville, a piano teacher, and provides piano accompaniment for students and performers.

Christian (Ian) - graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Music Merchandising.  He's had the opportunity to intern for music producer, Ty Fyffe, affiliated with TYBU Productions and Music Factory Recordings, whose worked with 50 Cent, Carl Thomas, and other famous artists.  Ian's also interned for Sony Epic Records and Atlantic Records.  On the side he is also part of a jazz combo at school called "The Goodlookuhs", head of a college acapella group, part of a wedding band called "Classifyd", a tenor at the local church choir also at Fist Baptist Church of Hicksville, and a piano teacher as well.
 
On top of that, they both always find time to enjoy hanging out with family and friends, eating, partying, exercising, and love playing all different types of sports. =)
