Bio: BAL-SAGOTH was conceived by vocalist/lyricist Byron Roberts in the late 1980s as a symphonic black/death metal band based upon a lyrical concept of dark fantasy & science-fiction, inspired by the celebrated style of the grand pulp horror and fantasy literature of the 1930s. "Bal-Sagoth are perhaps the only one of these saga-spinning sword wielding acts who can actually grip you with their narrative... great titles too, like "Shackled To The Trilithon Of Kutulu" and "Unfettering The Hoary Sentinels Of Karnak", make Manowar sound like Green Day."

Q: Will there be any more bal-Sagoth albums any time?

A: There are currently no plans for any new Bal-Sagoth albums, at least not for the immediate future. And yet, I haven’t ruled out the possibility entirely. In fact, I have all the lyrics, titles and artwork already prepared for albums 7, 8 and 9. But now is not the time. The hexalogy stands complete, and those six albums form a perfect artistic circle, from “Hatheg-Kla” all the way to “Return to Hatheg-Kla”. As I have been saying since 2006, the hexalogy is a circular journey through the multiverse, spanning countless aeons. But mayhap some time in the future the Third Trilogy shall be unleashed, including all the stories and sagas which were left unfinished on the existing albums and those that ended on cliffhangers! All the material exists! Aye, mayhap one day... if the stars align. Cheers! BYRON
