“Shawn Ames doesn't just wear his admiration for Alice Cooper on his sleeve. A tattoo of Cooper covers the Topekan's upper right arm.
Ames will get to show off his tattoo tonight at the Kansas Expocentre's Landon Arena, where Ames and his band, Backlash, will open a concert by Cooper and co-headliner Cheap Trick.
"Yeah, I've been a fan of his forever, and my mother just hated it. Now I'm getting back at her by making her go to the show and watch me open for him. It's a dream come true -- literally a dream come true," said Ames, who was born and raised in Topeka.

Greetings!
I just thought I'd take a few minutes to share what's happening with
the band.
Since we have so much down time off we've resumed work on project #4,
which we started back in early 2007. With all of the band members
spread across this great state and the financial situation in most of
our pockets it's hard to spend a day recording tracks ...
