Bio
Aunt Ange, based out of Long Island, has only recently cemented its members. Originally surviving only in the heads of Patrick O'Brien and Jack Kearney, Aunt Ange started creating music in 1996. Their first album Fliptop Circus, which was recorded in 2004, was solely written and performed by Patrick O'Brien and Jack Kearney. In 2005, Pat and Jack teamed up with bassist Adam Kushner (former band member) to create Apathia, their second album. This album was released summer of 2006 and has recently been re-released on iTunes.
After touring for a year and half for Apathia, with various lineups, Patrick O’Brien, Jack Kearney, Dean Hartofilis (Bass, long time friend) and Austin Reese (Saxophone, Pat’s Brother) are Aunt Ange.
About
Aunt Ange is a five piece collective established to destroy the border between the classical and the romantic thought. Through exposure of basic human emotions, the music carries a universal truth that can bring worlds together and then tare them apart. The music portrays a wide spectrum of human emotion. It celebrates the dark so one can truly appreciate the light.
