Captivating audiences with her intimately soulful and lyrical professions of love, life, and truth, Philadelphia-born Ashley Phillips is a singer/songwriter to watch out for. Influenced heavily by jazz/funk, pop, and progressive R&B, Ashley's unique blend of acoustic R&B and soul draws comparisons to such artists as Minnie Riperton, Amel Larrieux, Adriana Evans, and Dionne Farris.

The AP Band has played mainly around the Philadelphia area at live venues opening for Virgin recording artist Ricky Fante at the Northstar Bar, playing shows at The Fire, Tritone, and other local philly venues. Also, featured on Power 99Fm's "Inner City" hosted by Tiffany Bacon.

Ashley has also played solo performances at events in the Philadelphia area such as the Black Women's Arts Festival, and local venues  The Tin Angel, and other small venues around the area. Regionally, she has started to make her presence in Washington, DC playing Tim'm West's Front Porch monthly event, DC Black Pride, continuing to perform and travel with the Brave Soul Collective; a DC based organization that provides education, outreach, and support organization for gay / bisexual / transgendered / questioning HIV positive and negative individuals living their lives in truth through the arts.

Ashley is an OUT musician who hopes to effect the industry by remaining a visible and positive image projected to as many communities and people that can be reached.
