Jeremy Bar-Illan plays STONEBRIDGE ACOUSTIC GUITARS.
Born and raised in New York City, Jeremy Bar-Illan is a guitarist and singer/songwriter who has been recording and performing since 1979. As a member of The Moberlys and The Touchtones in the early 80s, he became known as a pioneer of the Power Pop genre with multiple album releases which to this day are being re-released in Japan and Europe. His acoustic sound is often compared to that of Cat Stevens and Crosby Stills and Nash. He is currently in the studio recording his new original material for an Album expected for mid summer release. Jeremy recently received an endorsement from Stonebridge Guitars.
Jeremy is currently focused on his new project, Dragonfly 13, an R&B Funk band featuring the brilliant Khaya Cohen on vocals, and an 8 piece ensemble which includes horns and B3 organ. Dragonfly 13 recently released a single, "World's On Fire" which is available on iTunes and other media outlets.
In addition to performing, Jeremy is the founder and director of a non-profit organization, The Purple Hat Foundation, which is a conglomerate of volunteer musicians who perform benefit concerts to raise awareness and funding for pediatric cancer patients and related programs. He also recently founded Kids Rock for a Cause, a school of rock which presents benefit concerts for various causes. He has been volunteering with Musicians On Call since January of 2011 and has volunteer performed for Bread & Roses on the West Coast. Through these efforts, he lives his belief that music is a bridge to all of mankind and the universal language which can be harnessed to help create a better world.
Jeremy lives in Riverdale, NY where he is raising his two sons, Elliot and Julian.
