Progressive, provocative and conscious with a boundless appetite for poetry and rhythm, Lilli loops and layers vocals lush and majestic; a one woman Sweet Honey in the Rock, a rare and timeless talent.

Lilli Lewis has been tickling the ivories since she was three years old, and composing music for just as long. Raised on a dirt road outside of Athens, GA, the award-winning classical pianist and soprano now pursues a subtler muse and her unexpected journey has yielded a world of insight matched with “innovative, soulful music that will never go out of style.” mp3.com

Lilli’s early immersion in classical music is now met with blues, folk and soul. She has self-produced four LPs since 2003, each capturing a unique snapshot of the American musical terrain, revealing the heart of a true sojourner.

Her most recent recording, “Out From Yonder: Songs, Mirrors and Incantations from Shambhala Land” Her most recent recording, “Out From Yonder” won runner-up for Best Folk/World Album in the 2009 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards, and rendered Lilli a regional finalist for the acclaimed Mountain Stage Newsong Competition.

When not at the piano, Lilli performs as a one woman a cappella ensemble, weaving together evocative songs of empowerment and social responsibility with just her voice and a looping pedal. Moving audiences with her original music since 2002, Lilli is a one woman expedition of beauty, peace, self-declaration and without a doubt, love.
