Molly Vamp is an American three piece band from Pomona, California formed in 2009. Song writer and lead vocalist Molly Vamp had already written five demo albums before drummer backup vocalist Willow Sky joined the band. Molly and Willow were married to each other in 2011. In 2013 Raven joined the group as lead guitar and Molly switched to bass.
Molly Vamp released one song demo entitled “The Archangel” on i tunes and Amazon.com. The band has recorded four demo songs after “the Archangel” was released, “Believe”, “Second Chance”, “Mind and soul”, and “the Curse”. All four songs were composed and written by Molly Vamp from his first studio album called “Sin no more” recorded at home in 2005. Molly recorded four more albums “Rebel”, “Laser Trace”, “Vision to Mission” and “Don’t feed the Fear” in just a two year period from 2005 to 2006. Since their first show on October 13, 2009 at the Whisky a go go in Hollywood CA, Molly Vamp has played over 100 shows in just three years of being active.
Their music features a melding of classic early heavy metal and goth influences and a raw simplicity of composition, arrangement, and performance. The band was also noted for their goth fashion and design aesthetic which featured an exclusive use of a simple color scheme of black, black and more black, which was used on their marketing flyers- as well as the band's obsession with Christianity, the occult, numerology, world history and astrology.
