Jasmine Holyfield / Bio

Atlanta-based musician, songwriter, and recording artist Jasmine Holyfield is not only a prolific songwriter and musician; she’s an adventurous entrepreneur whose successes in the competitive fields of both marketing and music publishing suggest that things like ‘second place’ or ‘thinking small’ are not options for this woman. Through it all, Jasmine's true passion in life remains in music. Here, her strong work ethic and love of creating have rewarded her many times over and continue to guide her as higher goals are set and achieved.

As a former Real Deal Records recording artist and producer signed with the five-time Heavyweight Champion of the World, Evander Holyfield’s Real Deal Records in the early 2000s, Jasmine rose to become an experienced artist, musician, and producer attaining a vast amount of music industry knowledge, contacts, experiences, and affiliations. In Atlanta, she founded and operated music publishing enterprise, LG Music Publishing, where she self-published her own material and signed publishing agreements with local Atlanta songwriters. Her music releases, underneath the umbrella of LG Music, garnered her tremendous exposure and accolades including award nominations, commercial and college radio airplay, and capturing the awards across the Atlanta region, such as her prestigious 2012 award as Atlanta’s Hottest Inspirational Artist by the ATLs Hottest Awards.

Trained at Georgia State University, one of the most prestigious music business institutions in the southeast region, Jasmine graduated with a BA in Communications, specializing in Film and Video and achieving a minor in Music Business Management. She has been publishing music for quite some time, and there’s a paper trail to prove it. Jasmine’s publications have been broadcasted on radio networks across the east coast including Columbus Georgia’s Foxie 105 FM, Atlanta Georgia’s WRAS 88.5 FM, Valdosta Georgia’s WVVS 90.9 FM, Detroit Michigan’s WHFR 89.3 FM, Atlanta Georgia’s Love 860AM, syndicated radio formats, and numerous internet radio and streaming services such as Pandora and Spotify.

After thrilling audiences in the Georgia World Congress Center, the Atlanta Civic Center, the Rialto Center of the Arts, and Clayton County International Park and attracting A-listers such as Montel Jordon, Damita Haddon, and Lydia Pace of the Anointed Pace Sisters to her performances, Jasmine has set her sights on the surrounding areas of the east coast of the United States.

Always one to rail against convention, Jasmine remains an advocate for protecting the intellectual properties of songwriters and musicians, and providing services for songwriters and musicians to effectively achieve their goals and convert their music into sales. Jasmine is pushing for songwriters and musicians to have more access to music industry services, such as music publishing, and for the marketing of her brand and music to reach the masses.

Jasmine is currently in Atlanta developing her latest singles for additional placement opportunities and compositions for film and television programs. In addition, she will be performing November 19th, 2014 at Smith's Olde's Bar in Atlanta, Georgia. These ambitious plans should be helped along by the fact that her music publishing business is continuously increasing in brand awareness and market penetration in the Atlanta area.
