The Dug was founded by Jodi lynn Cohee and Zac Sala after having quite a few jam and writting sessions. There was instant musical connection with similar influences ranging from classic rock artists Tom Petty, The Grateful Dead, Rolling Stones, to more recent artists such as: Jack White, Alabama Shakes and The Lumineers. The duo started playing rigorously at open mics and smaller venues giving soulful and energetic performances combining tasteful covers and original music that captivated audiences. The two decided to expand their sound with the addition of Jesse Friend on keys and Anthony Baray on drums. The group recorded a 3 song demo that captured the groups simple yet innovative sound with intelligent honest, lyrics and rootsy driven music. The Dug has since added a full schedule as well as continuously adding new original songs to the playlist. You won't get bored with this band...You're gonna Dig the Dug!
