It's been said that the answers to most questions are often right in front of you. That's why Craigslist is great. It was through this enchanting medium that young keyboardist Jake Linder found a carefully constructed 'musicians wanted' ad placed by not-as-young guitarist Hany Zayan. The 2 of them found it prudent to meet for an improvised singalong and felt so moved by the experience that they decided to document their findings. Before long, they were exchanging bits and pieces of long-standing song ideas and figuring out ways to harmonize obscure country songs from the 1950's. And still, these were only 2 men. '8 limbs will take you far in this world,' they pondered, 'but all the way to the mountaintop?' So they sent for help, and soon, help had arrived. An old friend and trusted confidant was waiting in the wings. He goes by the name of Kill in another life, but to Jake and Hany he gently chided, 'Uhhh, just call me Justin.' They were relieved both by his presence and his preference to not be called Kill. Justin Stoddard would prove to be the missing piece of an unlikely puzzle. His steady hands and surefire delivery on the drums provided the backbone necessary to prop up the fleshy keyboard and guitar sounds that Jake and Hany had been concocting. With Jake's trusty left hand in tow to supply the bass, the band Jack Jasper was now a complete entity.
