Marisol Celestia is a self-taught singer/songwriter. She started writing poetry very early & playing music at thirteen. She plays acoustic & electric guitars as well as piano & electric keyboards. Her prized possessions are a 1965 vintage, 'Univox 335' hollow-body, electric guitar & a 1964 vintage 'Silvertone 1478 Harmony Silhouette H19' solid-body, electric guitar. She also plays a Martin & Gibson electric/acoustic guitar. She has two CDs & is working toward her third collection of songs. She often works with other musicians in studio but is principally a solo artist & her music travels from the personal poetry of the singer/songwriter to the dirty, gritty underground sound of early rock & roll. Her sound is thoroughly American & is steeped in the tradition of the blues. Marisol has played out at venues such as Monkeytown in Brooklyn, NY & in clubs from Boston, Hartford & Providence to Burlington, Vermont. Thanks for coming to her page & listening to her music! Peace. ~Steven Paul Duplisea, 10/21/12
