Chuck Hughes Composer/Producer / Bio

Chuck Hughes recently celebrated his 20th year with Hillbilly Hellcats Rockabilly trio of Denver, Colorado. Two live recordings were released making a total of 6 albums and 5 singles total, all available on Spotify and iTunes.

In addition he just marked the 3,000th play of his songs on TV in Networks such as MTV, VH1, A&E,Travel Channel, NBC, Animal Planet, Food Network, HBO, Science Channel, Smithsonian, History, Biography, Discovery, TNT, National Geographic, BBC America, ABC, E!, Sundance, Bravo, HGTV, The Cooking Channel, and Cartoon Network.

His songs have been featured in the cult classic movie, Dead & Breakfast, and will be featured in Race with the Devil, to be released in early 2015.

A 2008 tour included Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Italy, Hungary, The Czech Republic, Sweden, Norway, and Belgium, and Holland.
In 2010 and 2011 he toured Holland and Belgium.

USA touring started in 1996-1999, covering all parts of the U.S., and included Alaska and Hawaii in the 2000's.

Chuck has remained independent, self-releasing his recordings, and doing the vast majority of his bookings.

In late 2014 Chuck composed and produced his first single done with virtual instruments, Mannequin Obsession. This was followed by 2015's Everybody Smokes in Europe.

Chuck also is known as one of the earliest adopters and performers on the Chapman Stick Touchboard, a 10-stringed tapped instrument, which produces the sound of rhythm, bass, and lead simaltaneously.
