Union Hill is currently in studio with Bart Rose at Fort Worth Sound working on ther first LP. The CD is titled "Four Corners of Home" which is also the title of one the songs written by Ricky Tiwater while enlisted in the US Army and stationed in Iraq. "I was a little homesick at the time and this is one of the songs I wrote." The CD should hopefully be completed and released some time first to mid summer. Be looking for and get your own copy of "Four Corners of Home."
RICKY TIWATER is a singer songwriter originally from Alvarado, but resides in Joshua, Texas. He plays guitar, drums, keyboards and bass. Ricky studied audio engineering in college and is a US Army vet with two tours to Iraq under his belt. His songs are often catchy and always appeal to a wide range of people. Ricky has been a session musician for other acts and has extensive live performance experience as a professional musician. Ricky's live performance style is engaging, charismatic and contagious.
GARRETT ROPER is a drummer extraordinaire originally from Burleson but now resides in Arlington, Texas. Garrett has a great singing voice and impressive range and sense for harmony. Garrett is a classically trained percussionist with extensive live performance experience as a professional musician. He studied music and has a degree in performance, as well as being a private music teacher and free lance musician!
CEDRICK BARNES is originally from Chicago, but got to Texas as fast as he could! Cedrick is an amazing bass player with extensive live performance experience in a variety of different musical styles such as jazz, soul and blues, and now Country. Cedrick brings on a variety of different musical styles to provide Union Hill with a bass sound that is like no other.
JAMES GILLILAND started his playing career at the age of 16 playing with local musicians and band directors in big bands and jazz combos.
Continuing his playing and studio career he studied Music Performance at Texas A&M - Commerce. James has continued to gather musician skills and with in the past five years has concentrated mostly on guitar skills, writing and vocals. He has also spent a lot of time as a private lesson teacher and currently teaches at Michaels Guitar Studio in South Arlington. He has played with musicials, studio projects, cover bands, all styles and has played with artists such as 281 South, Van Darien, Matt Thigpen, Dave Millsap and Peter Dawson. He has also been able to open for great acts such as Kevin Fowler, Asleep at the Wheel, and Pat Green.
