Barbi Crash (formally known as Black Barbie) is an electropop artist from California who's quirky raps and wonky sound have stirred up trouble in a music scene chock full of sad folk singers, invisible DJ's, and hipster hop. After just two years of making music, he has toured nationally as well as overseas.
Barbi Crash started out as a male/female duo called Black Barbie in 2006. After releasing an underground remix parody of The Black Eyed Peas hit "My Humps" on Myspace, the band landed themselves on the cover of USA Today with a full story on the teens making music in their bedrooms. By late 2009, Black Barbie was a solo project. After posting several demos on Myspace, he was offered an opening slot on Hollywood electro-punk band Punk Bunny's national tour. In 2011, he toured all over Europe playing countries such as Belgium, UK, Sweden, Germany and The Netherlands. He is known for his energetic one man shows that are full of electric dance moves and crowd surfing. Now he is in the studio recording his 2nd album which will be released in 2012.
"I don't need a fucking band. My iPod is my band." - Barbi Crash
