Marcell Porter has been a leader in trumpet performance since a child and has studied in multiple colleges in the USA. Lessons are also available for trumpet/flugelhorn/music theory. (underground recordings and more at https://myspace.com/mdptrp/music/songs, read also www.facebook.com/marcellportertrumpet1 (I live in new York)
I have studied the trumpet with Charley Davis(he toured with Buddy Rich), James Linahon (previous musical ambassador on trumpet for China), Steve Crum (professional studio and touring trumpeter), Charles Brady (recorded for Stravinsky at the age of 18), Ron Stout (professional jazz trumpeter), Mark Schubert (Honolulu Symphony Orchestra), as well as some other fine trumpet players.
started at 10 in grade school and they took me out of regular class to play into their trumpetless groups and was exuded from homework. in high school made honor bands like L.A. Junior Phil and Rose Parade band in california. completed associates degree work in college, travelled on cruise ships performing and then helping the hawaii jazz scene and more in mostly the small group jazz ensemble, among other commercial genres receiving multiple reviews and awards. There has been a crapload more work done in mostly the jazz and classical arena, so don't get me confused for a sellout.
' Most of the work here was just lucky to have somehow found over the years, but was mostly commercial in nature because to play so much i had to leave everything i had, traveling light became a specialty. I'm not a business man, I play trumpet! small group jazz stuff a bigger part of my gigs, but nothing was recorded. all are sellouts compared to me. --- marcell porter trumpet
