Out of the Shadows Band
OUT OF THE SHADOWS have been playing together throughout the state since the late 1960’s. This latest incarnation has reunited three of the original members along with a new drummer.
During the course of their career that have had the distinction of sharing various venues with the likes of Steppenwolf, Eddie Money, Greg Kihn, Redbone, Freddy Fender and yes, even the Carpenters. They have won local Battle of the Bands and have competed in other cities.
These longtime friends enjoy playing the music of their youth and love to share the sounds of the sixties with their audiences and particularly those who grew during this era.
The band was heavily influenced by the British Invasion and the American Rock movement that swept the nation, as close as San Francisco and Los Angeles. OUT OF THE SHADOWS brings and the energy that was born in the changes the nation experienced during the 60’s, from Woodstock, Kent State, Peace Rallies, the Flower Power feeling of Haight Ashbury to the Social Movements.
Tempered by this backdrop of change, their musical sound has evolved and is present in the music they have written and songs they chose to cover.
We ask that you allow us to take you back to these times via our music and video presentation that accompanies our performances. So sit back and enjoy, or even better get up and dance to the music that helped shape a generation that was very influential to our country.
