They wanted to include one extra guitar in the band so they could be able to produce a rocker sound and avoid any cliché as well, in order to create a new concept of rock’n’roll, based on a much more wild, accelerated, crude attitude like on raw rock. In 2010, after renovating every single song of the previous band (as well as its style and attitude) but preserving its name and its sleaze rock influences, Hairspray Junkies, started to work on three to-be-recorded songs with which they present their new themselves. However, as Diego leaves the band, the songs are recorded by Alex as the new drummer. He is friends with the other members and he is, of course, an addict to rock’n’roll. His attitude fits perfectly in the band and his technique when playing the drums is excellent to improve musically the band’s compositions. After just three months since Alex’s incorporation, Hairspray Junkies go to Estudios Namek to record the three songs they have been working on. A couple of weeks of work later, Hairspray Junkies finishes recording with their characteristic fresh, aggressive and, obviously, original sound. Hairspray Junkies has been growing as time goes by. It is a tremendously serious project which is being carried through. They are showing their crude, raw and wild concept of rock’n’roll to the current generations. Sex, drugs and RAW ROCK.
