Raised in the Capitol City of Texas, Jazzie J has rapidly created a name for herself as a tongue twisting lyricists blended with a mix of her own southern style and a flow, with a tone that has everyone saying, “ Who is this pint sized rapping diva…” Pursuing music professionally for the last five years her love for music and acting began at age 5 in a school play. Staring out singing, she soon would come to find out that her rapping skills dominated and captured the attention of anyone who heard her. While trying out for a singing group in high school and was asked questions about herself , she RAPPED the answers back to judges. After seeing how naturally rapping came to her she begin to make the transition from singer to rapper. She then made her Live performance debut , opening up for Houston, TX rapper LiL Flip with her former group “ILL 4 Real” and the momentum has only increased. She has performed many times drawing hundreds of fans to her shows. Since then she was chosen to be an official SXSW artist. She was also selected to perform at Austin Erban Festival, to open up for world renowned singer Brandy. Her song “Juicy” debut #5 on 88.7 KAZI , Nation Wide broadcasted “Untapped Show” . Her first single “2000 Grind” is in current rotation at this station and she currently getting spins on different radio stations in Texas, California, Louisiana, and East Coast radio stations. Not only is the talent overflowing from within this up-in-coming superstar she has also booked, promoted, and negotiated her own deals. Talented and business savvy she is on her way to the top.
