Formed out of a love of aggressive music and a hatred for the modern mainstream's pathetic imitations of metal and punk in 2009 as Live by the Sword. A name change was decided upon after the departure of a weak link in the band around a year after the formation, and a demo was recorded and released towards the end of 2010. Since then, Steel Bearing Hand has gone on to play numerous local shows and released material on tape in the summer of 2012. A tour of the west coast was completed with like minded San Antonio Hessians Aggravator in September of 2012.
