The Archers unique Folk/Rock sound is created by their ability to be multi-instrumental musicians, songwriters and performers. The band from Victoria, BC has toured extensively over the last 2 years putting over 35,000 km on their van heading back and forth between Victoria and Montreal. With the release of their upcoming full length album in the spring of 2014, you can expect to see them performing coast to coast and at CMW in the near future. Their debut full length album was recorded at Monarch Studios with Tom Dobrzanski (Said The Whale, We Are The City) and mastered at SAE with Roger Seibel (Broken Social Scene, Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver,Tegan and Sara). The Archers have been awarded Victoria’s Times Colonist Music Award - “Act to Watch for 2013” and Monday Magazine’s Favourite “Emerging Artist/ Band Award” in April 2013. They were also nominated for “Young Performer of the Year Award” by the 2012 Canadian Folk Music Awards, crowned Youthink’s “BC's Best Teen Band” in April 2011 and won Victoria’s “Garage Band Live” in May 2011. Performances include NXNE, Mission Folk Music Festival, Rifflandia Festival, the CBC Toque Sessions, VicFest, BC Day, Canada Day Main Stage, Fringe Festival, Folk West, Kulth Festival, and TedX Youth Conference.

The five friends creating this unique Folk/Rock sound out of Victoria, BC include Ethan Caleb, Sandy Hughes, Liam McLaren, Liam Moes and Robert McMullen. They pride themselves in their ability to be multi-talented musicians, songwriters and performers. The Archers share the roles of guitar, piano, bass, drums, mandolin, banjo and multiple other percussion instruments creating, through this trade off of instruments, an impressive and versatile sound full of compelling harmonies and fantastic energy.
